The media coverage of the Pacific Soil Learning Exchange.

The Pacific Island Farmers Organisation Network (PIFON) in partnership with the European Union funded Pacific Agriculture Policy Project (PAPP) organized a regional ‘Pacific Soil Learning Exchange’.

The event took place on September 23 – 25, 2015 on the island of Taveuni, Fiji and was hosted by Tei Tei Taveuni (TTT) and Tutu Rural Training Centre (TRTC).

The main objective of conducting this learning exchange was to gather as much information as possible about sustainable soil practices for the benefit of members within the region.

The winning entry (English version) to the Pacific Soil Learning Exchange media competition.

Rohit Lal of the Ministry of Agriculture in Taveuni and who is currently pursuing his PhD at the Massey University in New Zealand produced this winning entry, a video clip on dalo production on Taveuni entitled “Building better crops for better profit”.
